Trading from an iPhone in Uganda
Uganda sits on UTC+3, which puts the London open late in the morning and the New York open in the middle of the afternoon. Those are hours spent moving rather than sitting, and the iOS app is arranged for exactly that: positions, charts and order entry are reachable in a few taps on a device already in hand.
Installing through the App Store keeps the app inside the system's own update and permission model, which is the point of it. Nothing has to be fetched from an unrelated source, versions arrive in order, and iOS itself checks what is being installed.
On a mobile connection the app reconnects when the signal returns and reads account state from the server rather than from the device, so a gap in coverage does not leave an out-of-date view. An iPad on a home connection covers the longer end-of-day review that a phone screen makes awkward.
